Going Virtual After School
C2 Pipeline continues to provide afterschool programming in 24 high school sites in the Metro-Detroit area. Our focus is to help students become ready for college and career aspirations, with a concentration on STEM. Each of our sites run at least 2.5 hours of programming, daily Monday - Thursday. Some of our sites are hosting in-person programs, while some are still virtual. Students will be able to enroll for the career pathways that interest them the most: Health and Human Services, Science, Business and Engineering Technology. All enrichments are hands-on and project based, making it not only educational, but fun as well. Check out our Centers to see if you or your student is eligible for this program. To become part of our C2 team, simply find your school's registration tile and complete the online registration. Homework Help & Tutoring Drop-In Center
C2 Pipeline is now offering a Homework Help and Tutoring Drop-In Center for any students wanting additional help with core subject areas. Our qualified staff will be accessible to students Monday - Thursdays from 6PM - 8PM on Zoom. To ensure that our students do not fall behind during Winter Recess, we will providing tutoring from December 21-23 and 28-30. To join the tutoring channel, click here: Meeting Registration - Zoom
Social Emotional Theme: Gift of Giving
This month, the C2 Pipeline SEL Committee has chosen GIFT OF GIVING as the December theme. The activities planned this month are designed to help students understand that giving to others can make one feel fulfilled, gain a sense of gratitude, and experience humility and joy. All of the activities can be done virtually and we look forward to speaking about giving and philanthropy all month. To access the activities for this month, click on the picture to the right.
Student of the Month: Anisha Chowdhury (Fitzgerald High School)
Anisha Chowdhury is a current Sophomore at Fitzgerald High School in Warren. Anisha is a regularly attending student and is actively engaged in site and grantee events. She is always in attendance during C2 Pipeline afterschool virtual programming and she contributes so much during our lessons. She is very happy and positive person and loves to learn. She is a fantastic student and a pleasure to interact with each day. Thank you Anisha for your dedication to the program and for having a positive impact on our program, students and school!
Staff Member of the Month: Cynthia Maxwell
Cynthia Maxwell is the STEM Lab Coordinator for the C2 Pipeline Innovation and Curiosity Center. Her experiences as a science educator makes her a tremendous asset to the C2 Pipeline program. She is always bringing new technologies to the table, keeping our program up to date with the most cutting edge technology. Not only does she provide state-of-the-art instruction at the Innovation and Curiosity Center on Wayne State Campus, but she is also provides training and resources to staff. Her genuineness, warmth and dedication to the program is unrivaled. Thank you Cynthia for all you do and for all of the laughs!
Parent of the Month: Kristen Cox (Waterford Durant)
Kristen Cox is the mother of Gabriel Stamper at our site at Waterford Durant High School. Kristen often volunteers for C2 Pipeline Durant and supports the program through suggestions in content and ensuring the vision and mission of C2P is expressed in her community. She has attended grantee-wide events and has offered to help out with other C2 Pipeline events. She is a great parent advocate and we are happy to have her as part of the C2 Pipeline family! Thank you for all you do!
