Afterschool Fun
C2 Pipeline has started off this year's afterschool program with a bang! Our sites offer 2.5 hours of programming Monday - Thursday. During this time, students receive dinner, academic help and participate in hands-on, project based enrichments. It's a terrific time for students to get to know their peers, have fun and learn about a wide array of the up-and-coming career pathways. In addition to STEM career exploration, C2 Pipeline aims to expose students to a variety of cultural experiences. Below, you will find some of the activities and events that our students participated in during the month of February.

Student of the Month: Race Harder (Waterford Mott High School)
Race is a current Junior at Waterford Mott High School. He is a regular attending students, as of the end of February, he has attended 51 days of programming - making him one of the most dedicated C2 Pipeling students at Waterford Mott. As the Youth Council President, Race has worked hard all year at recruiting students to the program and making our program offerings more meaningful to our students. He taught STEM chess this year and has been a huge part of creating an E-Sports team at Mott. Race's enthusiasm for C2 Pipeline has encouraged students to become more active participants, which has made our program a better place.
Parent of the Month: Ms. Bey (Michigan Collegiate High School)
Ms. Bey has 2 students (Jasmine and James) in our program at Michigan Collegiate High School. Her kids are a pleasure to have, but we have had to reach out for additional support. Ms. Bey came to the school and we haven't had any issues since. She keeps in contact with us if her childer can't attend program because of an illness. This simple act of courtesy is appreciated by our staff, because it helps us make sure that all students are safe - even when they are not in our classroom. Additionally, Ms. Bey has volunteered to chaperone field trips. On the field trip in January she asked our guest speaker great questions that added to their educational experience. She even came early to help out before the trip. Thank you for all your support, Ms. Bey!!!
Staff Member of the Month: Meagan Brooks
Meagan is the current Assistant Site Coordinator at Detroit Collegiate Prep and has previously served as Assistant Site Coordinator and Interim site Coordinator at Southfiled High School for the Arts and Technology. Meagan always goes the extra mile to ensure the students at C2 Pipeline have the best opportunities we can provide. She supports students in their endeavors and truly embodies the spirit of college and career readiness. She often brings in her passion for health and fitness to help students realize their goals and make lessons more impactful and exciting. Thank you for all of the hard work you put into the program, Meagan!
C2 Partner of the Month: College of Engineering K-12 Outreach
Jasmine Roberson represents CoE K-12 Outreach at WSU. She is always willing to offer resources to C2 Pipeline and tirelessly works to ensure C2 Pipeline is connected to the awesome staff, faculty and professors at CoE who want to "grow" future engineers! We work closely with Jasmine and her team throughout the school year, but especially during the Spring and summer as we collaborate and share resources to develop quality engineering summer camps for our C2 Pipeline students. Thank you Jasmine and the entire CoE K-12 team for all of your hard work and dedication!
