 Afterschool Fun

C2 Pipeline has started off this year's afterschool program with a bang! Our sites offer 2.5 hours of programming Monday - Thursday. During this time, students receive dinner, academic help and participate in hands-on, project based enrichments. It's a terrific time for students to get to know their peers, have fun and learn about a wide array of the up-and-coming career pathways. In addition to STEM career exploration, C2 Pipeline aims to expose students to a variety of cultural experiences. Below, you will find some of the activities and events that our students participated in during the month of March.

Student of the Month: Myles Burrell (Oak Park High School)

Myles is a current Junior at Oak Park High School and has been a part of C2 Pipeline for 4 years. He is a team leader on the football field, as well as in C2 Pipeline.  He shares a lot of information and knowledge with other C2 members and is always helpful in our classroom. He guides younger students in how to act appropriately and models exceptional behavior and language in the classroom. Overall, Myles is an extremely likeable individual that doesn't aske for a lot, but has a good heart and believes in the C2 Pipeline program at Oak Park. Keep up the great work and leadership, Myles! We know that will take you far in life after high school!

Clinton Loh

Staff Member of the Month: Clinton Loh (Clintondale High School)

Clinton has collaborated with staff at Clintondale to offer E-sports through nintendo Switches and computers that he help put together and get through donations. He also has collaborated with the STEM Lab to train teachers and students coding curriculum using Spheros. Clinton also uses 3D Printers to enhance the C2 Pipeline experience, making Clintondale one of the most technologically savvy after-school programs we offer. Utilizing the different modes of technology allows students to experience learning through a different, fun lens. Continue the great work, Clinton! We look forward to seeing what Clintondale continues to offer in the future!

SEL Theme of the Month: Service & Citizenship

In the month of April, C2 Pipeline's SEL theme centers around service and citizenship. Students in our 24 sites will be learning how to get involved with their community and doing activities to help those in need. There are so many ways for students to accrue community service hours and C2 Pipeline can help students come up with creative, impactful and fun ways to give back. C2 is committed to increasing our students' mental and emotional fortitude and we encourage all of our community members to take some time to reflect and reconnect with the people, places and activities that bring us joy and purpose. We will also be hosting a large scale, community clean up and beautification project in May. Stay tuned for more details on how to get involved in that service day!
