C2 Pipeline E-Newsletter: January 2019

Afterschool Learning

C2 Pipeline continues to provide afterschool programming in 19 high school sites in the Metro-Detroit area. Our focus is to help students become ready for college and career aspirations, with a concentration on STEM. Each of our sites run at least 2.5 hours of programming after the last bell rings Monday - Thursday. Students will be able to enroll for the career pathways that interest them the most: Health and Human Services, Science, Business and Engineering Technology. All enrichments are hands-on and project based, making it not only educational, but fun as well. Check out our Centers to see if you or your student is eligible for this program. Along with our engaging enrichment activities, we also serve dinner and engrain life skills into our everyday lesson plans. To become part of our C2 team, simply fill out the Registration Form and turn it into your school's Site Coordinator.

Currently, Warren Mott High School is working with Bricks4Kidz during their Engineering-Technology pathway day. They are using legos to build cars, robots and more. Check out their creations in the pictures below:

As part of their after-school enrichment, Harper Woods took a field trip to the C2 Pipeline Innovation and Curiosity Center to partake in a sheep's brain dissection. The students were able to locate different brain structures and learn about the importance of their functions in the human body. Here are some photos from the event:
