Dear Students, Parents, Teachers, and Community Members.
For the past twenty- 20+ years, I have worked in education in the collective capacities of Parent, Support Staff, Volunteer, Mentor, Track Coach, Board Member, Activity Facilitator, Assistant Site Coordinator, and now as a Site Coordinator. Additionally, I have twenty-five- 25+ years' experience in Teambuilding, Personnel Management, Staff Training, Project Management, Financial Planning, Routing (Logistics), Customer Service, Collections, Sales, Contract Negotiations, and Unemployment Response, which I currently use to help our students develop in their 'College and Career' readiness. I have an Associate's Degree in Marketing, an Associate's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship, and several Certificates of Completion received during my honorable time in the United States Army, as a Military Police Squad Leader. I have also received several Certificates of Achievement for Leading Individual and Team Performance beyond set goals. I am highly motivated and honored to have this opportunity to serve the students of Detroit Collegiate Preparatory Northwestern High School, not only as a support for the student / teacher relationship, but also as a vested member of the DCP Northwestern community working towards the best outcome of ALL students within our school district!
As an added bonus, I am happy to coordinate a small, but effective five- 5 person team of diverse individuals whose backgrounds include: education, charity, and real life experience, chosen specifically to assist our students (your children) in understanding the technical and social skills needed to excel in their potential fields of Science (S), Technology (T), Engineering (E), and Math (M), but more importantly, preparing them to be College and Career (C2) Ready, so they can increase their possibilities of becoming successful college students, which will develop into contributing and positive members of our society.
Please feel free to contact me at gene.hall@wayne.edu for further details and / or a 'Meet & Greet'. I welcome and encourage 'Student Voice', Parent Involvement, and the development of partnerships with teachers and community members!
